CAD Design and Drafting

How we work

Work on a project usually begins with analysis of the assignment, preliminary calculations, component selection and sketching of parts and assemblies. Quick CAD concept follows. This could include parametrized CAD study and various optimization cycles. 3D data are then submitted for review and simulation to validate the concept.

Designers implement necessary changes until the design is ready for prototype tests. Prototype drawings are released. When the assembly and tests are finished, another iteration follows, merging the updated prototype design with necessary changes due to manufacturing requirements.

Finished 3D data and drawings are provided either in neutral (exchange) formats or we use particular CAD package – depends on customer requirements and commercial agreement.

CAE – Simulation and Calculations

  • Problem analysis, load case definition.
  • Structural and modal FEM simulation.
  • Multi-body physics simulation.
  • Engineering calculations, machine element design, selection and integration.

How we work

The most valuable asset in this field is experience and the ability to choose the right set of tools for the job. Our engineers combine simpler methods with comprehensive FEM package to obtain reliable and safe design quickly and at a competitive cost.

We have access to software for structural and modal FEM simulations. Highly specialized tasks such as complex multi-body system simulations are performed in cooperation with external partners under our close supervision.

Measurement and Data Acquisition

  • Functional tests in real-world conditions.
  • Data acquisition and processing.
  • Design and application of test equipment.

How we work

For complex simulations, various measurements and data collection is usually required to determine input values and boundary conditions. We are constantly expanding our ability to measure electrical and non-electrical parameters. In other case, components or assemblies are submitted to mechanical tests to evaluate the simulation results. If the project requires complex test equipment and custom tooling, we approach our partners and provide those in cooperation.

Prototype Manufacturing, Assembly and Evaluation

We can arrange manufacturing of prototype parts, their measurements and assembly.

We assist our customers with prototype testing and evaluation. Findings are immediately forwarded to the customer along with suggestions and an action plan for improvement.
