System Engineering

When working on project- and system-level, our engineers create and maintain documentation covering specifications, block diagrams, schematics and interfaces between various systems. We oversee the work of other engineers developing these systems and components.

The ultimate goal is to smoothly integrate mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, hardware components and software to create a product that is in full accordance with the specification.

Our customer has awarded a hardware engineering firm with a contract to develop and produce a complex hardware unit. URTECH was responsible for the firmware and the only specification we had was a list of loosely specified functions and parameters of the product.

Our engineer created a detailed list of hardware / software features which were approved by the customer. Subsequently we have created a detailed spec for the HW engineering team, including block diagrams, performance parameters, target cost, etc.

While working on the firmware, we have also supervised and coordinated the hardware development. Our role in the project quickly expanded as the customer hit the limit of their internal engineering and management capacity. In such cases we step in and provide cost-effective multidisciplinary engineering support.
